These materials can be used to craft or upgrade certain items for example:
(wooden boomerang -> Standard boomerang -> Quality boomerang -> great boomerang -> Legendary Boomerang)

The point of classic is that it isn't 'pay2win' and all players are equal in terms of HP or damage they can deal, so upgradable weapons just won't happen.
This makes the only possible rewards for quests gralats, or cosmetic items like hats/mounts etc. And considering players only really care about the reward at the end, you may as well just skip the huge effort of making a quest and put them in a shop

The treausre map system was ok but they don't drop too often.
