I imagine one of the problems is probably that the whole GP training course doesn't actually deal with handling situations that deal with the game's mechanics. If someone has not spent many hours towering or sparring, it will be very difficult for them to understand minor-level speed hacking, lag blocking, etc.
The report screen should probably be completely remade to include some checkbox style-reporting, like:
- Harassment
- Speed/wall/health hacking
I can't think of more examples, but in instances of reports ticked under harassment you could also trigger it to automatically block that player... which seems helpful.
I don't know how reports are sent to staff, but stuff like speed/wall/health hacking should probably be shown more urgently, maybe broadcasted to RC or something (if it isn't already).
I've seen people on these forums whining about speed hackers and I thought it was just exaggeration, but now that I've sparred actively this month I can see that there is actually a ton of them, as well as the occasional health hacker. Some of these guys get away with doing it for an hour or more before anything is done...
