I'm pretty satisfied. Sure, our political system is a mess... I disagree with the party system, and I disagree with corporations funding politics. And even when I compare the US to other places in the world, the US is definitely behind in some areas.
For example, we need better systems for healthcare and education-- but nobody wants to fund it with higher taxes, or a different government budget. Not only can nobody agree on anything, but no definitive action is being taken. There has been extra money going into education lately, but it didn't improve teacher salaries very much, which is one of the huge concerns for American education. Thus, the money has been going into temporary things, like technology.
America hasn't taken many firm stances lately. Donald Trump is the opposite, which is why people want him. He is confident about what he wants to do. American politics lacks that confidence. I'm afraid that Trump will win because of our political climate. He is literally the embodiment of my political nightmare.
Even then, I'm fine with the US. Our country has been through a lot. Trump is the least of the obstacles we've encountered. I think the upcoming election will be especially crutial to American politics (with the delicate turning point we're in), but it won't destroy our central beliefs either way. Trump would just get himself impeached if he tried to do something outrageous.
