Teachers get paid far more than enough. The job market for teachers is far too competitive as is, its very difficult to find a job as one. We have no shortage of teachers, raising their pay would result in an even worse surplus of teachers due to making it a more desirable job market to pursue.

Too high of a salary will actually make the quality of teachers WORSE, because you'll have people taking on the job because it pays well rather than because they like teaching children. By making it a decent wage, but not high, the people that become teachers do it because they are passionate about it, not because they're chasing the highest paying job market.

Also, teachers get far better benefits than most full time employees in the form of pensions and whatnot. The problem with a lot of people is that when they look at employee compensation, all they look at is the raw cash salary, but they don't look at other things like quality of insurance, matching a 401k, etc.



You can only be impeached if you break the law or lie under oath. Just because he does something you or even most people disagree with doesn't mean he could be impeached.
