You cannot simply say life is a religion. Because life can be proven, we live. Not to be ignorant or anything, but a religion cannot be 'proven' in the sense that it would be made real. You cannot prove that a god exists, you can theorise, but life cannot be a religion, as its a fact. However, if you were to dig deeper in to life as how it began all those millions of years ago, then yes, it could be classed as a religion in some way.
