That's nothing, instead of accepting a set amount, i heard harrison ford said that for his payment he wanted a % of the movies earnings. He would have made much more than 1million.

I also heard another theory that was kind of interesting

The theory was that basically Rey, IS the reincarnation of Anakin as the new chosen one, and there were a few examples given.
1, that when Rey finds Anakins lightsaber she has a flashback as the saber was calling to her, i don't remember the flashback off the top of my head but it had reflected anakins life, I think it started off with the sand for where anakin grew up, can't remember the middle one but ends on a lava planet with luke skywalker and r2d2, which referenced the final stage of anakins life where he turned. (You can also hear vaders breathing as soon as the flash back begins)

2, She was naturally skilled at using a saber/staff, had a naturally strong connection to the force with 0 training or understanding of it. She was very good at fixing things, being able to fix the falcon which han solo himself couldn't do- and was a good pilot, and that she was without parents, and lived her life on a sand planet. Also that she cared about droids like Anakin did

3, this one is probably a coinsidence, but Rey actually physically looks like Anakins mother from the prequels.

4, the fact that anakins ghost does not speak to Kylo could be because he is no longer a force ghost as he has been reincarnated, which would lead to a pretty cool battle between Rey (Anakin) against Kylo Ren who was trying to become what anakin was, and presumably Snoke- who if we go off the books wanted to use anakins body/life force to restore himself or something.

You can youtube it to find more, but I just found this theory really interesting and different to others. And it did actually make sense if you watch the videos explaining it.

They also said that the theory that rey is lukes daughter is too obvious to be true, and what the directors want you to think, otherwise they would have just shown the connection in the movie
