You wouldn't have to hope. Food is the dominant source of food inside bases.
Remove Food = Fire is the reliable source because it would be the only source.
Fire as dominant = a few more things we can add to the fires since it is now the reliable source of healing.

This would be great if the fire had some sort of durability, because a shot of a bullet/hit of a melee won't destroy a fire in one shot.
