This is a great idea, and would be great as an option to be turned off/on. What happens to very long messages? "example...."?
Too bad people might fear the lag, even if it wouldn't cause any.
Plus, the next nexus is already being planned out and also the next hat shop update, the one after that, etc. Shiny new hats man. I know I'm starting to sound like a smart ass, or "you have always been", but it's sad to see that things like this most of the time get shot-down.

If the message is long is scrolls along, like LED signs in real life. Also if you don't understand that something like this is entirely client side logic and doesnt affect servers at all, you need to take my earlier advice and learn a bit more about how game development works at a fundamental level.

Played game which had a battleground that had a team size of 115 players, a feature they had was that the team leader could use a command to globally broadcast a message, I think this works better than displaying every single message.
