If you are going to follow a rule book on how to get a girl then your problem is self confidence.

No girl wants to date a guy who doesn't have any self-confidence, and the same goes for too much self confidence. Don't be a baby and don't be an ass.

If you want to improve your self-confidence one of the easiest ways to do it is to improve your look. This is a simple as getting a haircut, combing your hair, trimming your beard, brushing your teeth, cleaning up your acne, wearing presentable clothes that actually fit you, and smiling. Even if you're like a five out of seven, do this and you look a lot better.

When talking to someone, be engaged in the chat. Listen to them and add to the convo. Most girls love to talk about themselves, so ask a bunch of questions. But don't ask weird questions you come off as a creep.
