have a progressive reward system.

As in

10 eggs= gralat prize(500 maybe, could replace with food.)
20 eggs=hat prize
30 eggs=furniture piece
40 eggs=morph(could replace this with something better)
50 eggs=mount as usual.

Could shuffle that around as you see fit, but that is something I personally would like to see. Just so that if you're busy and you don't have the time to go all in you can still enjoy the festivities
