I agree, to some extent. I don't think staff should waste their time replying to "Hi" messages, or they would never do their job.
Why does everyone want to say all experienced players have ban records? It's completely false.
Look on the current staff team. I know for a fact Feorth, Jarace, Dread, SnowNoob, (all of these people are currently GPs) and many others have been playing for at least 6 years, because I saw them around at the time or remember their names.
Just because you are/were immature doesn't mean that everyone was all those years ago.
Replying to questions is another matter, and so far I have not had any staff members ignore an actual question I've asked them.

The only punishment I have on record is having status reset for having words like "poop" (obviously the "bad word" which isn't censored in its place). I applied for staff 2 months ago and I have 6 years of experience with the game, plus more knowledge on recent trends such as very slight speeding as well as VPN yet I was never contacted. The rest of the application I can almost guarantee had more reasons to hire me than 50% of the current GP team combined. Yet no contact. As I said in another thread, this actually tops affirmative action as far as bs ways to hire someone.
For those wanting to try to change things here seem to be the steps.
1. Get in Zanza or some other tower guild with staff on it
2. Make them your best friend forever and praise them
3. With adding cute little :> faces, ask if they think you could become an admin if you applied.
4. Nice work Zanzanite, your fully qualified self has passed the test.
