This is just another off topic discussion about something that is all based on biased opinions. Not to mention I think asking people from that/my timeline would make the most sense but probably still be biased too.

To be clear, sparring was actually a real thing we did before 2001 too, not just C style, and to anyone who suggests otherwise was either inactive in '99 or didn't play then.

I guess for some reason people think using arrows can actually evolve tremendously. Most notable discovery of sparring was the ability to strife.

A lot of people left Graal when it went pay to play (p2p). We lost a lot of amazing sparrers around that time PLUS when me and my incredible team (especially James205) made Shaded Legend in 2001 we took the majority of the active sparrers to that server and the others spread out to all the other server choices.

Fun fact too, Baddies was one of the original Guilds on Graal in the 1st year of release. Venture vamps (my good friend Goth made it) came out in late '99 i believe maybe early 2000, and US I want to say 2001 to 2003 sometime. Looking at the guild creations on the global guild list is useless as we used to have a local Guild Admin who would manually upload names and create tags directly on the server. Finally, the guild site changed 2-3 times too so the guilds had to be remade as we remade the url to Graal.
