I think I'll go with the 6p. One last question, is it good for gaming? Or will it give me problems with bs lag. This isn't a need, but I need to know what I'm buying here.

Like I said, to even ask if a game will run smoothly on any device made with a high end chip newer than the 801 is just hilarious.
Will older chips take longer to load up apps?
Yes.
Will there will be a frame drop or two every minute?
Yes.
But that's something that's expected, especially when you attempt to push out that many pixels continuously. If you want a smooth buttery experience you should get a potato phone. Max screen resolution of 2ppi.
In terms of speed the Note 5 kills the 6P.

"High end" companies add random crap to their systems so they get slow over time. It forces people to get new phones. They cheeky scumbags. You can expect Samsung to do this(actually some random bloat has already been spotted in the marshmallow update) but Google tends to steer away from it.
