It´s always better if you got good contacts.
Example:
Who would you hire (just one person):
Someone unknown who can make some awesome GFX, or someone who can create the same quality but got some admin friends aswell which do tell you that you can trust the applicant?

Even though they are willing to hire unknown people, they will always hire the person which got some good regards from the admins team.
