Nice write up. I watched NXT weekly ever since it came on the network, but the months prior to Wrestlemania were just piss poor. For a long time it was leaps and bounds better than Raw or any other wrestling show for that matter. But to me its now become unbearably boring to the point where I can't even watch weekly episodes. The takeover specials are still great though but their weekly shows lost their magic. Maybe its due to the fact that NXT was gutted out and had their top stars thrown in the main roster to be treated badly. Right now the only top stars left in NXT are Nakamura, Bayley, Asuka and Samoa Joe and Finn Balor (maybe?). It comes nowhere close to comparing with their roster in previous years when they had Zayn, Owens, Neville, Charlotte, Becky, Sasha, Bayley, Tyler Breeze, Corbin, Enzo & Cass. NXT just lacks overall depth right now.
That being said the RAW episodes post Mania have been far better, they're giving younger, more deserving guys more opportunities. But for some reason are still adamant on pushing Roman Reigns and his posse of stale Samoans. At this point it feels like there's too much ego on WWEs side where they just can't admit failure so they're just gonna keep pushing through with him until they get the reaction they want.
As for payback:
Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles
The Miz (c) (with Maryse) vs. Cesaro
Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho
Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
Charlotte (c) (with Ric Flair) vs. Natalya (with Bret Hart)
Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs. The Vaudevillains
Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin
Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback
