I have no clue what exactly happened but Graal Kingdoms is legit getting itself sorted together with all sorts of things AND lots of new content is being shoveled in, nearly every day since a little over a week ago.


Also there are bigger things to come as well. Superbusyrobot says F4L has nearly finished the new race system, complete with a reputation mechanic. You can ally up with a particular race and do various quests and get rewarded for having high reputation amongst a race.


Interestingly enough this all happened very suddenly after staff seemingly had stopped being on the server for a while. I guess they were buckling down on getting some good stuff all whipped together so content could hit the ground running when implemented.
