I mentioned an idea specifically like this to Rufus, promoting enemy guilds or guild rivalries.
The way I outlined it was that, since individual guild members can contribute points through activities like sparring or PKing, two guilds can agree to set each other as enemies which will incentivize sparring or PKing against members of that guild.
While you normally get +1 guild points for PKing and +(ratio*10) for sparring, if two players using guild tags that are set as enemies participate against each other there will be bonuses and consequences.
Killing an enemy member will instead give you +2 guild points and take -1 guild point from them.
Beating an enemy member in a spar will instead give you +2(ratio*10) guild points and take -(ratio*10) guild points from them.
The only issues I see with that is that it's open to abuse unless you cap it so that the additional +/- doesn't apply if one guild has 0 or less points. Otherwise, someone could just create a dummy enemy guild and spar or PK against a guild they're trying to boost or help. There would also need to be a time limit on how frequently you can un-enemy a guild, because that'd open it up to tons of abuse also.

It's a cool idea, but because of the abuse possibilities like you said, I can't see it happening. It would have been really cool, though, to promote enemy guild battling.
