Most vulgarities are already censored, they shouldn't even be used in the first place. It wouldn't benefit anyone to see words like '****', 'bitch' or 'hoe' as much as some people may want to.

The option to disable swear filters makes it so vulgarities are seen less often to those who don't want them, since there would be little reason to break the swear filter.
