a popular instagram account @pokemongoexpress apparently got to beta test the new tracking system and it looks really cool. no confirmation on yet it's real, but basically a summary of it is that you click a pokemon on the list and it shows you a landmark the pokemon is by.

Niantic did state some users would be testing new stuff out and they might face some changes while playing, so yeah I think it's real
