I find that when a unlocked gralat's value is very high (red gralat+) you get more attention. This is because, at least in my group, we'd make throwaway accounts for macroing and we'd leave the gralats unlocked so we could grab them when the macro account got banned. Normally this would be accomplished by having a guild filled with macro accounts and having our main accounts married to a macro account that was not banned or was not dedicated to macroing.
