For merging streams together it's easy, open each stream up, use obs window capture and capture that stream w/sub regions and stream all of them together.
I've also been testing streaming a lot, the #1 most annoying thing is the idle disconnect thing... anyone have any ideas around this?

On top of merging streams - multitwitch probably the better option tbh - several dedicated machines running stream to dedicated channels and all those channels displaying in one place is about all you can ask for. You can get full quality that way - I really don't know how a stream of a stream will look, maybe you can get pretty close to full quality there too with a good machine, I dunno, worth testing I guess.
