Take a look at people who have published their tax returns, plenty of people pay their taxes. Trump is just being hypocritical, complaining that the country is going to **** when he is one of the ones not contributing.
What are you talking about? The US has the highest GDP out of any country and 6th highest per capita, if you're talking about GDP growth then the US is pretty much on par with every other country. Inflation has been fluctuating between 1-2% which is close to target levels. By world standards the US isn't doing that badly.
Cutting taxes for the wealthy won't solve anything, increasing them reduces the debt and increases government spending. The wealthy are known to be the biggest savers, they are the least likely to spend their money and often invest in the stock market or in foreign markets, it's just money leaking out of the economy. The government have the ability to redistribute the income and invest it, thus increasing aggregate demand and resulting in economic growth.
Consumption definitely affects growth/AD more so reducing the taxes for lower brackets is smart, reducing it for higher brackets has much less of an impact and doesn't really benefit anyone other than the rich.
I'm not defending Clinton. I'm trying to understand how people who constantly defend him are able to do so when he's done so many stupid things and shows in no way that he is going to create any sort of change. Hillary also wants to decrease the taxes of everyone except the wealthiest, she will also increase the debt - just not by as much.
