Also, in order to overturn a SC ruling, either two-thirds of the states have to agree on it (which won't happen) or the SC has to overturn it them selves, Trump will have the power to appoint new Supreme Court justices; but once appointed you have life tenure including all past Supreme Court Justices which includes the ones who would have originally ruled to approve same-sex marriage.
