TL: DR the whole thing except the first bit. Wanted to point out that there is only 2 gangs with over 4K hours that are still active, Silence and Knife Party. The rest are gangs trying to to get to 1.5k gang hat. Now and days people are just trying to make a new gang to get gang hat and once they do they either join one that is striving for gang hat as well, create a new gang to get gang hat, etc. Gangs rarely continue on to go for the higher rewards thus a new gang staying at a base from time to time.

Ahh. See that would've been useful. Completely... More like 80%... disregard that top paragraph then. In response to that I'm assuming that a sides the hat chasers another big reason to why large gangs stay static are the prizes. Less likely to get kicked when you're loyal, even if you're afk most of the time. And that shop is actually really unique and cool and I don't think that would ever be removed so... Dunno, I still think that something's regarding the simple fact that people don't give up when their close holds some truth. Like I know given the fact that Zone doesn't have a very good 10K stops people from going for it. While I actually disagree that OW needs worse prizes to stop people from just being passive, I do think that the GP shop in itself is already a really big prize for basing. Maybe to refute what I said earlier just for the simple balance the stakes could get even raised...
Ofc that would just create 8 billion responses of people saying 'no that's unfair' and such but hey, people got over it last time.
