I think it'll just cause more people to be upset if they are scammed. Players, especially the new ones will fall victim to scams. For example, they may get persuaded to 'agree to a deal' which won't happen. Next thing you know, there will be possibly tons of reports flooding in towards Graal Police - which is a waste of time.

However I do like your point about being motivated, such as players may give you some gralats after a performance. But I think cons far outweigh the pros
