I just saw advertisements to buy their season 2 pass on the xbox store. I figured the season pass was just some bull **** way to lock good game modes like most other FPS games are doing these days.

Nah man haha. I think the season passes are for the new operators when they come out, you get them for free or some **** like that.
(I might be wrong)
But yeah they don't force you to buy them
