I got into a warper for bush race... which warped me into a wall. Then I used the warp ring and it caused me to be stuck in a "hands up" pose when I had appeared for about 30 seconds. Then I ran back to the same spot the warper was and watched it despawn as it reached capacity.

Needless to say, no hat. (Also not the first time lag and glitchiness has caused issues similar to this)
