Communism in its intended form is an exelent idea.
HOWEVER: Communism in its adopted form in many countries has been disasterous for example russia and China.
These communist ideologies are placed in countries that don't usualy have a better option.
For example China Russia and Hungary which did not adopt communism too well
In the case if Cuba however Fidel Castro was not a communist monster as you Americans like to beleive.
I personally along with my family have been involved with the country.
I've seen both sides of the story so allow me to educate you.
Cuba was a Casino island where americans would go to lose money
(basically vegas)
It was the mafia who controlled the island and payed the countries leader/puppet Batista to stay out of their buisness.
Cuban citizens usualy served the American guests all day for pennies a day.
The cuban people were mistreated and impoverished by their president.
The revolutionaire Castro did the right thing to do and kicked him out.
He became president of the island for 50 years after that.
Fidel traveled to Washinton to speak with president Eisenhower however he wasn't given the time of the day.
Everytime Castro demanded for aid and protection from the States he was refused and was never even granted an audience with the president himself.
The UUSR aproached Cuba and became an ally of theirs which is why Cuba has taken its path towards Communism.
Today cubans receive a free education
They have fairly advanced medicaly
And are free from mafia/Corporations controlling them.
Castro did in fact kill people in the early years (he had to)
But so has every president of the United States of America
In the 60s America devised a plan to demolish a building full of citizens in order to fund a war against Cuba.
In the early 2000s they actualy did it but towards a different target.
In truth cuba is doing fine the only issues they face is a lack of resources due to the embargo which ruined their economy
And the billions of dollars Batista stole from the banks when he made his escape.
Sorry English isn't exactly my first language.
