It's a similar case with Trump and Comey. Was firing James Comey smart? Not in the manner that he did it in. While firing Comey is legally his right, it looks very suspicious given the circumstances.

It may not be legal if he was firing Comey to obstruct justice, which he has essentially publicly admitted to doing so. Honestly what pissed me off so goddamn much was how Trump fired Comey. The guy likes to pretend that he supports the police and the military, and then goes out of his way to try to publicly humiliate Comey, who everyone still respects inside the FBI, even if they questioned some political choices (which were forced upon him due to Lorretta Lynch's downright incompetence and corruption, making the perception that the Hillary Clinton investigation will never receive a fair outcome).
The firing of Comey and allegedly asking/pressuring Comey to drop the investigation into Flynn looks like the same corrupt **** that we saw with Hillary/Bill Clinton and the meeting with Lynch. Trump supporters can't even play the non-politician incompetent card on this one. It's just downright corrupt, and I suspect that as more evidence comes in and Comey and others testify before Congress, the corruption will only be further proven. I'm at the point where I hope Trump gets impeached in the future. He's proven to me that he is too incompetent to run the White House and I believe that evidence will come forward in the future to justify the start of the impeachment process.
