Not to single you out, but what you're saying is a perfect example of what I said above... you're saying that smoking itself is the issue, and it is not. If you had a magical wand that could remove smoking from the world we wouldn't be any better off than before. If the underlying causes still exist they'll just move onto some other addictive or destructive habit...

I see where you're coming from but, without a doubt drugs and smoking are a manor issue. But if you think about it from your point view then we will be thinking about the reason why those young people are smoking&taking drugs. The reason is obvious, it's actually the parents. Almost everyone who smokes has careless parents or busy parents. What I mean by "careless" is when your parents has other issues they need to care more about such as: earning money, relationship problems and other major issues that distracts them from focusing on taking care of their children. Also, what I meant by saying "busy parents" it's when they work a lott, they're not necessarily poor, I know a lot of teens who has rich parents; they smoke. Their job will most likely require them to work a lot, of course it's normal to have a father who works full time but, it can be an issue when both your mother and father works a lot. They just won't have time to check on their children.
Therefore, I would say careful parents will always have wise children. However, smoking and taking drugs makes it worse to the teenagers but, everything has a cause. They won't be acting immaturely for no reason. The fact that the laws are not implemented properly makes it even worse, like we all know how easy it is to buy weed/cigar as a teenager.
