While there is many theories if graal is gonna " die". While I doubt it will die. Also not 100% sure what people are referring by lower player counts. From what I seen it's still usually a strong 3600-4000 during the day atleast where I live it may lower at night or during school I don't know.
But we will have server lag regardless until Graal decides when it actually wants to make things to spread out lag or reduce it.
You have too many people from too many places around the world all jammed together in the one map. Graal Classic map is not that big at all. It does not take you much more than a minute to casually walk without a mount from Onnet or Mod to destiny. Infact with its size it r really should only be supporting around 1600-2100 players. What we have is basically double that. That's why for example unless you got really good internet and a really good device you'll probably have around 20-40 fps walking into Graal city. Which is jammed with people upon people. Which is why you not only will experience lag because of a mass of people around you. But it can also cause server lagging as well. Which is basically why graal needs things like servers or something like that to not have the lag caused by the amount of players clumped in one map.not sure why graal does not consider or take that into account.
