Guilds aren't meant to be limited-time vessels for holiday get-togethers. If you want a guild specifically for doing holiday events together, then name your guild accordingly. Then get a group of people who are willing to be together for every event.

FYI, many guilds rename themselves according to seasonal events. Sometimes being forced to disband themselves and pay the 1 or 2000 g to get a new title. Recognizing that there are a variety of ways to play the game is part of accommodating the player base.
