I agree with this. Christmas is about giving so I don't understand why people rush to max out their gifts. Sure getting a lot of items is nice but imo it just ruins the spirit and meaning behind it. Secret santa works because you're giving a gift to a random stranger and also receiving one back from a random stranger.

Are the people who gift for gift really that poor? If you're able to send out multiple gifts (most of the time, 10 for 10) to multiple people then I don't think a small fee of 10 gralats per gift is even an issue. I doesn't even take 10 seconds to make that much and it seems like a fair amount to pay for an 100% safe exchange.

Scamming gifts can't get you banned. There's no way of knowing someone got scammed. The only reason someone would get a ban for scamming is if real money/accounts were involved.

Easy, if they do implement this they can display the amount of gifts each player is adding to the trade and if both players accept it goes through, just like how Steam handled their normal trades. The amount sent/recieved wouldn't have to be the exact same.

I think this goes back to square one for me. It ruined the idea of it all and it'd just turn into more of a hoarding event than it already is.

These are just my two cents. Who knows maybe trading gifs is what this event needs but I'm not really for it. There's already a way of safely exchanging gifts and if people actually used the service they wouldn't get scammed. You could argue that the 10 gift per day limit is why people don't use it but it makes perfect sense being there. This holiday is about giving, not spamming people with G4G? and trying to make a brand new 5th ocean in your house with presents.
