I'm not saying it's
okay for rules to be hard to find. They should be somewhere obvious, and perhaps show on first login. However I also don't play enough to know if they ARE easy to find. Honestly there should be a button in the little window next to the news/house/guild buttons and everything.
Regardless, pleading ignorance is still not an excuse. Like I said, where does the line draw then? If this ban is lifted, then what's stopping anyone from claiming the ignorance for more serious things? What about more serious offenses such as hacking or harassment? Why couldn't they simply claim that they weren't aware there were rules against such acts(and no common sense does NOT work. Every other MMO has ban evasion as a rule, so you'd think that would be common knowledge... this is where this sort of perspective starts to collapse)? GP's should be consistent with their rulings like this to be fair, even if there are external problems like rules not being obvious. It's not the GP's fault that rules are tucked away in some dark corner of the server, they're simply there to enforce them.
