Dark World trees from Link to the Past(Which Graal is of course copied from) had similar trees in design.

Interesting part? They were indeed alive and could talk and even spit bombs at Link.


On-topic with the subject at hand, while this may seem silly I feel if this was done properly it could add an amazing amount of depth to the game. This is the sort of stuff I like to hear/read about in games where it's not related to the actual storyline, but where details about the world are filled in for the curious players. It shows a great amount of attention to detail, and that is never a bad thing.
