Hey, I recently built a computer but have an extremely annoying problem; randomly my mouse will get extremely laggy, and occasionally freeze up and be extremely slow(delayed/ freezing up). This makes playing games next to impossible. It happens with every wireless mouse I use, yet they work perfectly fine on my other computers. I've tried every usb port, including the usb 3.0. I updated all my drivers for everything, yet I still have issues. No it isn't general pc performance issues, it happens with low cpu usage, and I can still use the keyboard(connected by wire fine

I've heard usb 3.0 can cause interference issues, so I don't plug anything into the 3.0 port, and I still get lag. I try using the usb ports in front for the mouse, but I still get lag(usb 3.0 ports are in the back). The usb 3.0 port used to not even have a driver installed, and I still had the issue. There is also a surge protector nearby, could that cause lag?

If you have any ideas on how to fix the lag, that would be amazing.

edit: found a usb extension cord randomly on the floor somewhere, used that and taped it to the wall, we'll see how this works.
