Yeah go ahead and cry about AP cause you can't boost your pks anymore.  

Unless you enjoyed looking at people's (fake) pictures and rating them, I see no reason why you should miss old the old guild pic upload system.

The first major update that come to mind that has ruined Classic is the idling warp. You can't even sit outside for 10 minutes without being warped to an unwanted area.

Another terrible update is the Alignment Point system. The AP system has no necessary use to the Classic society. All I see is disadvantages if you spar, PK, or tower. But if you sit and do nothing your only advantage is the ability to not be hurt by a sword.

AP gives people a choice whether they want to pk or not. For pkers, it makes it so people can't run out at .5 health and use pots to heal instantly. That fixes the problem with pkers who are too scared to get killed. And for people who don't wanna pk, they get invincibility to swords. Most people don't use arrows and bombs for pking anyway unless they're boosting. You don't have to do nothing to get saint. Do something other than pking. Catch bugs. Talk to people. Farm. Buy stuff. Do Pyrat Quest (bonus points for this one: you gain AP much faster as long as you don't kill anyone!) There's more to Graal than pking.

Yet another useless update is the Guild Picture approval. I see the improvement it made, but it's ruined the idea of Guild Pictures. That's all I can think of at this moment, but the main two were the Idling Warp, and AP system.

How did it ruin the idea of guild pictures? If anything, it helped.

In short, these are all good updates. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's a terrible update. You try pleasing 1800+ people and then get back to me. Just look on the bright side. The new tileset is released which is much better than the old one, and bugs are back.  

Why do you care if you can't heal from PKing? It's not like deaths are a published stat. There is absolutely no punishment for dying, you even respawn at the same spot you died.

AP is kinda stupid pointless and annoying, but it reminds you to pk (if you pk)
As for idol warp, who cares? Just don't sit still for 10 minutes and you'll be fine

The staff has already added some ways to tie AP into the game (e.g. getting more AP while at church) and it's likely they will continue to do so as they release more major updates.

In any game that offers duality, it's always easier to be the bad guy. Yet, it always pays off to be the good guy. Whether that be a better ending, better gear, or whatever. In this case, being a baddy is much easier than being a saint. I'm not sure why people say AP is unfair. What you said was true, it's a lot harder to become a saint. And once you do, you can't make a single mistake otherwise you'll have to wait a while again. Throwing a bush at someone dropped me down to 77 before. It was NOT fun at all.
