Futbol (Soccer)
If America actually cared about soccer and their athletes saw soccer as a serious sport, they'd end up dominating thanks to their huge diverse population and economy. Probably win every World Cup. Imagine LeBron, JJ Watt and Megatron as soccer players. Game over by half time every game.

If anyone actually cared about either sport and their athletes all broke both of their legs at the same time, they'd end up dominating hospitals thanks to their huge steroid-using population and exorbitant salaries. Probably win every Jello cup. Imagine Dan Marino, David Beckham and Ben Roethlisberger in body casts. Games over forever.

It's more over how these athletes were raised with sports in America. I'm not trying to be racist at all, but the majority of blacks in America have grown up in neighborhoods or with friends that play basketball or football during a lot of their time, as have whites. There isn't a ton that the US as a whole can do about it really and I don't see a real reason to. The MLS/US National team still dominates over a lot of leagues/countries even though every time you walk into the streets you don't see kids playing soccer outside no matter where it is like many other countries.

Any great athlete can play any sport if they put in lots of time and practice, really. America just doesn't care about soccer as much as the rest of the world, and the rest of the world doesn't care about American sports as much as America.

The thing is, America just has better ATHLETES though. Athletically Americans have an advantage because sports are huge part of the diverse culture. Case in point, the Olympics. If this was translated to soccer, USA would dominate because of the giant economy and resources to dedicate. Look at womens soccer, USA regularly dominates it because they invest in it with their population and resources. Proving my point that if America cared about men's soccer it's reasonable and logical to assume they'd be #1. Again though, other countries might not ever be able to beat the women athletes since other countries don't really give them freedom. |

This guy is seriously kidding himself when America's "diverse" economy imports more than it exports.
