The Big Blob has received a major overhaul. It has a new look, has been rescripted from scratch and is now much more agile and dangerous. Its spawn method has changed(it is no longer only timer-based) and it now spawns randomly around Swamp town. It also not only tracks who attacks it, but how much damage they do. Top 3 contributers will receive Golden Slimy Spoils(alongside the Slimy Spoils themselves), which has an increased reward rate.



A slew of new items have been added to slimy spoils. From a new morph and mount, a new bomb and even a new bow, and a bunch of new slimy furniture and hats.

Well it's not just depending on time passed anymore, there is another factor involved in when the blob spawns. Also it can spawn anywhere in Swamp Town so idling near the puddle doesn't mean you'll always encounter it when it does spawn.

I also failed to mention you now get a sound to register that you did damage to it.

Can I guess what the other factor is? A certain number of regular slimes have to be killed, don't they?
And the sound thing is really nifty, but rip to all the people that keep sounds off.
I just fought it and it's muuuch better than the last blob, nice to see it doesn't die in ~10 seconds not even giving you a chance to hit it

i thought it always kept track of how much dmg we do?? so like if u land 1 hit u received ~200g. 2-5 hits ~400g. 5+ random?
anyways RIP my ez kills.

Nope. If you hit the blob you got Slimy spoils no matter the damage. I found that a bit cheap since you could literally just hit it with an arrow and forget about it. So I wanted to encourage actually participating and hunting it.  

Just fought it- a lot more fun than it used to be, and really funny to see a few players raging at the change in difficulty

I know right. Spiders used to be in the Onnet Forrest but havent seen them for some time. That aside, sweet update to the blob! Can't wait to take on the big slimy baddy.  

That big blob is cool.  

Just noticed there's a yellow meter on arrows and bombs, what's it for?

Looks like it works similar to the lantern charges. Guess that's one way to prevent spamming them  

where am teh spiders guise?

 

• Bow and Bomb usage now consume stamina and can not be used if your stamina is too low. This is for balancing reasons and is disabled in houses.
