What Would Happen?
Ok so I couldnt sleep at 2am last night because of this. I need answers So if you were to take any country, and like 100 metres below sea level you cut the earth underneath and separated the country from the earth, and then dumped it into a very deep ocean, would it like sink or float or what? |

Literally nothing would happen. The weight of the land would just weight it back down like nothing happened.. You basically accomplished nothing. Go back to sleep Ryab. |

Lol depends on how big the cut is. Its not like you'd use some cheese-wire and slice the land off the earth like frosting on a cake. |

It would sink. Land has a higher density than water therefore the land will go down underwater. Of course much of the land may still be visible such as mountains or tall buildings but they would eventually fall down due to erosion perhaps. It would also change the current of the ocean and water levels may go down my a few centimetres or whatever depending on what country you are talking about. When the country sinks it could be a possibility of causing a tsunami.
