Timezones - 2

We are using the standard list of time zones found here:

https://www.epochconverter.com/timezones

Android and Flash in particular don't seem to get the proper time zone from the system they're on so we had to implement the option to set it yourself.

The same system that automatically determines and sets your country also attempts to provide your local time zone so most people shouldn't have to go into their profile and set it manually.

We plan to use the system to display accurate timestamps where needed.

My time zone is from Buenos Aires, but theres a lot of argentinian citys. And not La Pampa where i am from.

I mean, there's a lot of Argentinian places may this only be Buenos Aires i think.

Would someone toggling a VPN affect this in any way? For example a certain sparrer VPNing to a different continent to gain an advantage, how would this affect their timezone?

no.

everybody would change their timezone to open them early and it would cause so much server lag.

Agreed. Certain sparrers have resorted to VPNing in order to gain an advantage, I could only imagine how bad it would get if many other parts of the game were now encouraged to VPN to change their timezone.

agreed. There are a few outliers who abuse VPN in any opportunity to get an advantage in any setting applicable and it is exploitative and disgusting. Shame. Shams. Shame. Tsk Tsk Tsk
