Yeah I didn’t realise, and I agree, the once a week submission thing is a horrible idea.

I personally think this update is much better than having to come back every few hours to submit an item but wish the game would've notified the community before adding the change as it only happens once a week. Just wondering if there are also any other additional benefits to the whole once a week submission though. Will the system only be allowing 1 entry of the same hat/accessory per submission batch due to the limited entries?

I'm not active on the game to follow the whole auction system but I think it would be cool to add an event notification on screen to notify players like 5-15 minutes before the actual auction(if they have event pm's enabled) so that players can have time to prepare themselves from sparring/towering/doing other activities to check out which batch of new auction hats are available in the queue. I know there's already a countdown timer in the auction house but I think the idea seems solid enough as the game is moving towards implementing players to participate actively in events/in-game activities. I noticed a lot of houses aren't as actively used in the game for their purpose except during the holidays(or special events) so I think implementing the auction into the event pm system might also benefit the auction house if people are also being reminded of when the auctions go live. I'm not sure if this also takes a lot of work but showcasing some of the hats being auctioned in the event message would be nice as well. Could just be 1 or 2 randomly generated hats from the current queue to give players some interest on what is available for them before actually walking to the auction house.

I personally disagree especially since players weren’t notified when submissions would be opened. The only players who got to submit were basically just lucky to check at just the right time. I think it’s troublesome to only have one set time for submissions to open since it doesn’t give players in certain time zones a very ideal situation if it’s a time when they’re asleep. At least with hour submissions it gives more players multiple chances to try to submit during different times. The only benefit with the once a week submission is what you mentioned, that it can prevent multiple copies of the same/hat accessory from being submitted (if this feature is implemented).

I think the voting system that I mentioned in the previous page would be the most ideal and fair. Since it seems like auctions are going to be a once a week event, the voting can happen during the down time throughout the week. Just before the event starts, the x amount of hats with the highest votes would be picked and would be up for auction. The highest voted hats would go first or vice versa.

I also disagree with this. Many players aren't able to make it online during the small window where hats are getting accepted due to work, school, busy with other things or just being asleep. Sure you might have a higher chance of submitting something because the limit is ~54 instead of the usual 10, but quite a few people would never even get the chance to attempt to sell something.

Simple yes/no voting system to have players curate thousands of auctions down to 54 for Sunday.

Probably won't be done this week though.

Oh that sounds like it could do the trick. So if I understand right this means that there's no limit to how many people can submit things but everyone votes on the best 54 hats during the week leading up to sunday? I like it. Thanks for telling me!

But hopefully I can get rid of some ugly hats and make some money off this current system before this happens

I thought a bit about the new system and this has probably been thought about already but can't a big group of players just all vote for eachothers items and boost them up the queue to the top 54 items?

if they don't show who submitted the hats, nobody will know which of the inevitably 10 exact copies of a hat belongs to who
