seems to me that admin choices are getting sloppy. It appears that people get hired for no reason apart from who they know and are friends with and then some pretty decent admins get fired.

Lol. I actually think Jeni will make a good PR.
She does help the player base immensely without being an admin, and now she can do it on a larger scale.

Funny you mention this, but known people and those who we're friends with are actually worth it. Else they won't be known nor our friends.

Not always. Some are just suck ups and some were just friends with the admin before they were an admin. So it is an unfair advantage over other people.

Not really if you look at it from our perspective it works. Think of it this way: We have a person that everybody knows and will already get along with plus we can trust them on top of their good app. Then there is a guy that we have no knowledge about just a good app. I mean I personally think that taking people that will get along with staff from the get go works but thats just me.

And congrats Jeni! Dont listen to the haters xD you will do great!

(Also it is generally pretty easy to tell if somebody is being a suck up)

Congratulations Jeni. I know you will do an excellent job. You're well familiar with the Era community. Remember to be just and fair to those who break the rules, even though they are friends. Ensure the happy playing of Graalians in Era remains in peace!

And shrug off all the haters and all the negativity. At this point, you've made it! And the worst that can happen now is if you let it affect you and your judgement!

wow congratulations jeni.. i have confidence in you and hope you will be a good admin (lei rei is still the best though!)

and of course, we all know some players will be unhappy for this decision but please give her a chance..she hasn't even started yet and I know she will do just fine. Who knows, in the future she could be your favorite admin, always actively helping you guys (xD use her to your advantage, she's hired to be your slave now XD)

If any Admin reads this post... Watch my PM logs. I have been like over the top on helping people for days now...

I thought Admins read the logs anyways... Is there like an Admin I can chose to stalk me, (Well, lets say "Watch") to see what I do... Just curious. ANYWAYS...

I think that lots of the Admins I see dont really hold events or auctions or even help the community to often... We need more people like that. Could we hire someone like that? (A good example such as me) I would be happy to spend 5 or 6 hours a day holding events and auctions.

we don't hire staff to host events and do auctions, as a matter of fact staff are not required to do any of those
