Have a little icon by their head (green for online red for offline. Like instant messengers.)

Or have offline / online friends separated.

I think would be much more efficient to have a tab bar that has Newly added, online, offline, favorites etc.

Many of the things you mentioned would completely overrun the screen on an iPod/iPhone. Unless they shrink it down, but then no one could see it. Let's think about ALL players when we're talking of Future Improvements. I don't even want to talk about the new spar area where most arenas only work for the PC/iPhone and the poor scripting. But I digress....What I want, if anything, is to get personal themes/skins for the game. That's not too much to ask, is it? ;)

This kinda fits with this thread... I think that the heart/orbs in the top right corner are huge and should be much smaller.
