I'm also an OG bionicle noob who started off with the mini guys and the rolling ball bionicle (collected all 5 rolling ones to make the giant one). And I don't like the look of any of these new sets. My personal all time favourite bionicles were the 2007 (underwater ones with the machine guns), 2008 and the 2004 ones I think that had the disk launchers (the movie for that was so good aswell) I had the blue and black one (blue from this set is probably one of my favourite looking bionicle of all time) http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/bionicle/images/7/79/Toa_Mahri.PNG/revision/latest?cb=20070710053800 (Unsupported image host) Had green, black and white from this set, as well as the giant red bike, don't remember why I had so many of this set since I never saw their movies http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080426111220/bionicle/fi/images/8/89/Phantoka.png (Unsupported image host) Had all of these but the white and green one, red was the best obviously http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/bionicle/images/a/ac/Toa_Metru.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140817155226 (Unsupported image host) |

Not a huge fan of the stocky look of the newer Bionicles. But I just realized that the new Kopaka has a new version of Toa Lecon's sword/shield combo which I absolutely adored when I was a kid. http://lego.brickinstructions.com/08000/8811/001.jpg (Unsupported image host) |
