I highly recommend you partner up with other players to help gather eggs faster.

Eggs are found by randomly spawning, digging, finding them in tall grass, looting, and killing baddies.

The hardest ones to find are all from looting. You dive and find them like regular loot.

A lot of the 30s, 40s, and some 20s are from baddies. I recommend killing Bandits (use Drasine and enter the cave below York bridge, go up at the intersection).

Bandits also drop chests, and these chests can contain eggs. I'm not sure if that's the only way you can get those eggs.

Bomb your guild house or house to get the eggs in tall grass. Dig on the cliff left of Sardon's roof to find buried eggs easiest.

How you can contribute to this little guide:

• If you've obtained all of your eggs in ONE specific way (e.g. killing baddies), go ahead and post a list of all the eggs in your possession. (You can also post a picture(s) of your egg collection if that is easier.)
• If you've obtained your eggs in multiple ways, you can still post a list--just be sure to note the different ways you've found your eggs!
• Of course, the most helpful thing you can do is post about an egg as soon as you get it. Feel free to make new posts for any information so that I don't miss it when updating this post.

Edit: wait, it seems the op verifies the possibility. Are the fountain donations for 100% guarantee for egg? Is there a specific amount to donate?

hmmm i had a feeling there would be loot eggs this year but havent seen anyone get one.

No troll. I'm pretty sure you get a random egg from the fountain, different people seem to get different ones. The looting eggs are very rare.  

I haven't played in a long time, do I press before or after the exclamation mark? Im talking about the diving..

Found #1 from...the fountain in Mod.

So I guess you can get specific eggs from multiple activities this year!

It seems the fountain is unique and just pulls one egg from the baddy collection for each player. I may be wrong, but this would make sense as the baddy eggs were some of the hardest to get last year.

Also, can you cut grass to get eggs (instead of bombing)? Or am I misleading everybody . . .
