RC Problem
Forgive me, I'm a newb at RC. When I try to upload a file, it says "No write rights for levels/bodies/body.gif". I got this error on my dev server. Here is a screen shot. Can you walk me though the steps?

Oh... That's the problem! Thanks. I tried uploading a .gif to /levels/bodies. Imaginary +rep. Also, I heard you can control the NPC server with graal.net. How would I do so? I just got my dev server today. |

I seem to recall something about this but I can't give you the specifics. Anyways it's apparently not very important as you can do anything you need via RC itself.

I'd recommend using the external RC, since it's not as buggy as the internal RC. The internal RC is just a scripted GUI. Not only does the external RC perform better, it isn't known to mess things like scripts and files up like the internal RC has done on some occasions. You can download it by opening your Graal client, going to Login or Login 2, clicking the Start button in the lower left corner of the screen and going to install packages, and then RemoteControl. You will see 2 versions listed (RemoteControl2, RemoteControl2_compat) Both will work unless you're using an older version of windows, in which case you should use the compat one. |
