Does anyone wonder what would happen if graal went bankrupt or the owners discontinued it ? Imagine the servers erased, am i the only one that almsot is a little frightend by the thought of the iservers being deleted from the appstore, and your app wouldnt connect to anything anymore. Imagine alit of your guild members, your friends, who you can't connect to outside of graal. Your friendship would just end right there, with no goodbye. Confusion, (well, us reading this lucky would have graalians.com).

Or, a more realistic view, the servers corrupting. All backups not being available to stephan, the servers being deleted.. Think about all the time people put into graal. The thing about graal is we expect, even after we quit, that we leave a lasting mark. Its sad to imagine nothing to mark all the time people such as VG put into graal..

Or, just imagine, stephans basement blowin up. Everything would be gone.

Yeah I'm with Jester here.  

About a year ago one of my favorite MMOs, a graphical MUD called "Wyvern", was shut down due to a server issue similar to the one described in the OP. Since then the owner of the game hasn't had the time or money to fix it and the game has been offline ever since.

It's really disappointing because the game had such a rich history and many of it's players put loads of time in effort into building not just their characters, but a real tight-knit community of players. The same holds true for Graal (sans the tight-knit community... I don't think we're all that tight-knit ) and it would be saddening if Graal fell prey to a similar fate.

Keep in mind, though, that Wyvern was a much much smaller game than Graal. Could such a thing actually happen to Graal Online? It's possible but very unlikely, IMO. Even if there was a large server crash, Cyberjoueurs should have enough money to make any necessary repairs, especially with how popular the iClassic and iEra servers have become.  

Ever heard of backups?

I originally found graal back in 2001 when a guy mention about it on the last day of Last Kingdoms which was a mmo. Basically the game wasn't so popular in the states as it was in some asian countries and because of this the game developers stopped patching updates to u.s servers and therefore the u.s host decided to end his contract.
Regardless we had 1k supporters in the u.s it still was shut down.. If it happens to graal which i highly doubt it would because graal did loose more players way back when accounts went p2p on pc.  

I'd be a much higher level in battlefield.
