I'm opposed to a traditional level up system, but I think it would be neat to have quests where you can upgrade your maximum life like Unholy Nation does, and maybe your sword too.

Stefan feels that this would make new players lured away since they will be at a disadvantage when they first start, and I have to agree with that. Right now you can join and immediately start pking with equal opportunity. With that you would have to find all the quests and complete them all. Plus half the community is lazy and spams Graal city all day.

As I understand it, we are working on a PC server but eventually aim to be multiplatform. So people on PC and people on iPhone are playing together.

Anyway, I've seen levels in the screenshots so I'm not leaking too much.

that is stupid and how could you agree with that? How do you think any MMO/RPG starts?
Obviously the lazy people will stay and do nothing and chat. Everyone else who actually wants to play a game will have something to do and work for and progress.

Yes, I do. PC Players also bitch about iPhone players.

If they played together, with no way to tell which platform they're playing on, except for if they asked them, would it really matter? I think not.

They just use different controls. Humans aren't any better because they use a computer, or an iPod.

Unfortunatatley the majority of people who play Graal and make Eurocenter money fit into the former category. Few fit into the latter.

So who are Stefan and Unixmad going to cater to? I think we all know.

How do you know? The two iphone servers offer no leveling or progression system, just a bunch of stats and stupid items.

I've spent a lot of time observing the community, and from what I've seen of it I think it's safe to say that most players are only interesting in running a social network and not so much playing a game.

As itsbao93 said, its mainly a social game. I beleive reading that Graal was ' a social game with a twist '
