I noticed htis with the avengers, I couldn't get over how weird it seemed to watch. I cant imagine when avatar 3 & 4 come out because they are planned to be filmed in 60 fps

Uhh.... there is either something wrong with your eyes or you're watching it on a interpolated TV screen because the Avengers was filmed in 24FPS. Just like every single movie so far, with the first 48 fps movie being the Hobbit. Thus the reason it has so much controversy behind it.  

The Hobbit looks amazing, the book is one of my favorites.  

I liked the Hobbit book way more than I liked the LotR trilogy. The trilogy felt forced and dragged out most of the time, and I kind of had to push myself to finish it "just because" while I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the Hobbit.  

ugh, Peter Jackson is now talking about making the Hobbit a trilogy. Being a two-part is barely tolerable but understandable, but splitting a single book into three parts is ridiculous. The typical Lotr movie is about 3 hours long. What does he need 9 hours for? He said he has a bunch of 'unused' footage but I think it's a cop-out that he's really just milking the hell out of it.

Oh, well it was just me then. I assumed that it was a higher fps by the way the actors looked.
